Halloween Candy Bouquet
Halloween is such a fun holiday. Kids and adults love it! Halloween is a great opportunity to spend quality time together as a family. Involve your kids in decorating your house for Halloween. Making your own Halloween decorations and crafts can be fun and easy. Follow the step-by-step directions below to make an amazing Halloween decoration, which can be a tasty Halloween treat for a Halloween party.

To make this Halloween candy bouquet craft you will need: a Halloween themed container, Halloween candy, tissue paper in Halloween colors or designs, floral foam, curling ribbon, bamboo skewers or stem wire (16 or 18 gauge), Halloween garland, hot glue gun with glue sticks (use a low-temperature glue gun), floral pins, floral tape, and tools (scissors and wire cutters). I bought most of these materials at Wal-Mart.
Step 1. Prepare a themed container (it may be a cup, a pumpkin, a box) and floral foam. I used a plastic Halloween cup for this arrangement.
Step 2. Cut the foam to the appropriate size so it fits snugly into the container. The foam should be about an inch lower than the rim of the container.
Note: If you use a lightweight container, you may need to add weight to the bottom of the container to stabilize it. For example, you can put rocks in the bottom of the container.
Step 3. Take Halloween garland that goes well with your container. Cut a piece of the garland and secure it to the floral foam using floral pins. You can use more or less garland depending on how you visualize your candy bouquet.
Step 4. If you wish, you can use silk flowers in your bouquet. I love using silk flowers in my arrangements, so I put 3 black roses into the container.
Step 5. It’s time to make “candy flowers” for your Halloween candy bouquet.
You can use Halloween themed candy or standard candy that goes well with your Halloween container (candy with orange, black, purple wrappers…).
a) Prepare the candy you want to use in your bouquet, the bamboo skewers or stem wire, and floral tape or hot glue. If you use candy that have wrappers with “tails” or loose ends, just attach them to the skewers/stem wire with floral tape.
If you use candy pieces without “tails”, like in my case, just hot glue a skewer to the back of the candy piece.
b) Cover the stems of most of the candy flowers with Halloween garland. Secure one end of the garland to the stick right beneath the candy piece with a dab of hot glue and wrap the garland around the stick, securing the other end of the garland with a little bit of hot glue. After wrapping the stick with the garland, you can also tie curling ribbon around the stick.
Decorate a couple of candy flowers with curling ribbon. If the curling ribbon slides down the stick, you may secure it with a dab of hot glue or a glue dot.
c) Arrange the candy flowers you made in your container the way that pleases you.

d) If you want your bouquet to look good from the back, put some candy flowers in the back of the bouquet so that they face the back of the arrangement.
