How to Make Fruit Arrangements

This fruit arrangement was contributed by a fan of our site, Christina Hatley.

I made this fruit bouquet for my sister-in-law's birthday. I used a utensil holder for the base, so she could use it after the fruit was gone. I put a head of lettuce in the holder to keep the skewers in place. I used a cookie cutter to cut out the butterfly's and flower shapes out of pineapple. A cantaloupe was used for the center of the flowers. Oranges, grapes, apples, and kiwi fruit were used for various skewers. (We soaked the apples in lemon juice to keep them from turning brown.) My daughter and I had such a great time making this and we are planning on doing it again for other family members.
