Food Presentation Ideas: fun appetizers for kids
Open-faced sandwich "Shirt" Materials used in this food garnishing project: 1 slice of toasted bread, 1 piece of bologna, 1 piece of yellow cheese, 1 piece of orange cheese, 1 piece of marble cheese, 1 piece of parsley, 1 piece of red bell pepper, 1 leaf of lettuce, and butter/ salad dressing/or mayo. Step 1. Cut a "shirt" out of pieces of cheese as shown in the picture. Step 2. Take a toast and spread butter, mayo or your favorite salad dressing over it. Put the cheese "shirt" on the toast. Step 3. Cut two "pockets" out of marble cheese and put them on the "shirt." Step 4. Using a round cutter, cut two circles out of a piece of bologna. They can be used to make "shirt’s buttons." Step 5. Make two small holes in each "button." Put pieces of a parsley stem through these holes as though they are pieces of thread. Step 6. Put the "buttons" on the "shirt." Step 7. Using a wavy edge cutter, cut a "collar" for the shirt. Step 8. Take a piece of red bell pepper and make notches as shown in the picture. Step 9. Cut out every other piece so it looks like a comb. Step 10. Put the "comb" in the "pocket." Step 11. Put your sandwich on a leaf of lettuce. Your tasty "shirt" sandwich is ready. These sandwiches will make fun appetizers for kids parties.
