Plating Food - easy and cute open sandwich "Fish"
Materials used in this food garnishing project: 1 slice of toasted bread, 1 slice of yellow processed cheese, 1 piece of hard cheese, 3 boiled carrots, 1 black olive, 1 piece of parsley, 1 leaf of lettuce, and butter/salad dressing/or mayo. Step 1. Take a piece of toast and spread butter, mayo or your favorite salad dressing over it. Put a slice of cheese on the toast. Step 2. Cut a boiled carrot into circles. These will be used for the "fish scales." Step 3. Place the "scales" in a form of a "fish" beginning with the "fish tail" on the cheese. Step 4. Cut a "fish head" out of a piece of hard cheese. Make "fish fins" with parsley leaves. Cut a piece of black olive for the "fish eye." Step 5. A small leaf of lettuce can be used as a "fish tail." You can decorate it with a piece of parsley. Step 6. Put the "head", "fins", and "tail" on the sandwich as shown in the picture. Step 7. Your cute "Fish" sandwich is ready. You can use these sandwiches as appetizers or you can decorate any vegetable salad with a “fish” like that. Photo and directions courtesy of Irina Stepanova "Delicious Garnishing Ideas"
